About Ellie

Welcome Ellie to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2-year old Dachshund mix dog. She weighs about 15-pounds and has nice teeth that are in good condition. This is important because these pups have a tendency for bad teeth. She is very loyal and friendly to the cat Sam. She loves to kiss her right in the face which is a bit too much affection for the cat but she at least is a good girl with a cat. She doesn't like her kennel if her person is in the room. She is a bossy girl with the bigger dogs and tries to show she is the boss of them. Most dogs at the rescue are ok with it and allow her to be the 'in charge.' She would be best in a home with kids 10 and older or an older couple. She is a lap companion and follows her person room to room. She barks at strangers so she would keep you alerted to someone at the door. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the transporters to deliver her to Washington, Portland, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 250 and transport is 185.
