About Luke

****Luke is available in Massachusetts & Connecticut only for adoption due to Mass Quarantine regulations ***** Luke is a beautiful mixed breed puppy ready for his forever home! At 6 months old, he weighs about 20 pounds. The vet estimates him to be 30-35 when full grown. He is part of a sweet litter of puppies who were born outdoors in rural Georgia; their momma lived chained to a trampoline and the pups were kept in an outdoor pen. Momma is a shepherd mix of 25 pounds. Dad is unknown. The pups were around 4 months old when Sophia's Grace was asked to step in and help. They came into rescue nearly starving, but we were able to get them good food and health care just in time! Luke loves to snuggle and play with his fur siblings and human friends. He is super sweet and eager to please! Because the litter spent the first 4 months of their lives having to fight for each morsel of food and attention, Luke is a little sensitive to sharing. He has made a lot of progress in his foster home, but his new family will need to understand resource guarding and work on that behavior. He adores squeaky toys and, of course, treats! He is just a baby, so his new family will have to potty train him and work with him on other basic skills. Please reach out if you think sweet Luke could find his home with you!
