About Stella

This black beauty is Stella. She's an independent kitty who is looking for a cat-experienced home where she can be the queen of her castle. She came to us from a shelter after being found as a stray so we don't know anything about her history, except that she had a litter of kittens in tow when she came into our care. Her kittens have now been adopted and Stella has been spayed so she's ready to find her forever home. We believe that she's about 2 years old. Stella is an independent girl and will do best in a home with someone who has previous experience with similar cats. She is not a shy cat and she can be friendly with people during one-on-one sessions for short periods of time. She enjoys being pet and brushed, but when she gets tired of attention she will let you know very clearly that she's done with you. While she likes attention on her terms, she only likes human attention and does not like other animals. Stella enjoys climbing her cat tree and watching the world go by from the top of her post. She likes playing with balls and string toys, but is also good at lounging and relaxing. It seems quite clear that in the first part of her life, Stella had regular access to outdoors. She enjoys spending time inside with her family but she will be happiest in a home where there is access to a safe outdoor area or a catio.
