About

Adoption Fee: $75
Abyssinian / Bengal
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Fanny Floof is a beautiful red orange and white short hair female approx. 5yr. Her adoption fee is $75. She has been vetted and spayed. She is good with nice dogs and older kids. No cats. She was thrown out with the trash when the neighbors moved away. She is very submissive and the stray cats had a heyday taunting her and she is afraid of them. PETS ARE FAMILY MEMBERS. PLEASE GET HELP IF YOU CAN NOT KEEP A PET. MAKE THE EFFORT! IT'S A LIFE! Most kitties don't just go into a new home and own it, they need an adjustment period. Patience, love and space will be needed and she will adjust quicker by starting her off in the master bathroom versus the whole house, leaving her carrier near her food water and litter as her safety zone. Floof will be as sweet as they come. She loves people and just being near them. She has the cutest little chirpy meow and she loves to be pet. Her rabbit soft fur makes her a little 'floofy', hence her name. She's very social and enjoys just being present with her humans and receiving a good body massage. She isn't a lap cat but she will be sitting so close to you, you would think she is on your lap. You cannot force her, that will scare her. Actually, you cannot force any cat, period. She is very uncomfortable about being picked up and it actually frightens her so enjoy her at her level or when she is next to you which will be always. She is not in your face needy but she does need you. Floof loves the calm and loving human versus the rowdy loud ones. Back and chin scratches are a great way to win her over. Fast hands all up in her face will frighten her so go slow until she learns those are good hands. She is never aggressive or mean. She is a mellow, sweet, companion. She is not hyper and really just enjoys sitting and being with you. She does enjoy the occasional mouse toy to swat around the floor to show off her hunting skills but it short lived and she will back relaxing near her human. Interactive toys like feather on a stick and shoe lace drag as well as the Fling ama String and the $2 'cat dancer' toys are always a plus. She loves kitty treats, a rectangle corrugated scratcher that lays flat on the floor and a tall cat tree sitting in front of the window with sun rays beaming in. She loves to look out at the scenery and the birds fly by and or course the afternoon cat nap. She will expect to share your bed. She has been free fed quality hard food of Iams Proactive Health Indoors (quality meaning the first ingredient begins with meat) and gets up to a can of Fancy Feast morning and night. She is not a picky eater and she will give you a cute chirp if you aren't fast enough with the canned food. Below information is for preventative purposes'| Too many male AND female cats are getting the UTI - urinary tract infection and crystals in their urine. It's a blockage, it's painful and if ignored will lead to death. Vets say the hard food is at fault because it does not deliver enough liquids. It's simple to monitor. Just make sure there is at least one good size pee ball in the litter box a day. Kitty fountains are effective to help manage a cat's fluids. A diet of good quality canned food pate is better than dry food however there are some dry foods that are pH balanced and help maintain Urinary Tract - UT health like Blue Buffalo, Purina Pro Plan, Purina One UT health, Iams UT health. AVOID FISH! Cats/Kittens are an 18 year commitment! They need a cat tree, love and an inside home ADOPT Fanny Floof FOR LIFE!
