About Munson (west)

UPDATE: Nov 12, 2020. FOLLOWUP: 11/12/20. Munson was adopted, but returned within one week. He did not have time to decompress. This can take a minimum of 2 weeks, perhaps longer with some dogs. He is now deteriorating in his kennel, though he still loves humans and needs a permanent home or he faces euthanasia. Please consider saving this sweet little man. Hi, my name is MUNSON ID#A4441541. I am a neutered male, brindle and white American Pit Bull Terrier. The shelter staff think I am about 7 years old, and I have been at the shelter since July 13, 2020. I enjoy my time with my human friends, I lean in for my pets and I enjoy exploring while we are out and about. Munson is not doing well in captivity. He obviously is used to being in a home, and now finds himself homeless and afraid. Here are a few of the latest notes we have about him: 7/13/2020 INTAKE ASSESSMENT Dog allowed all handling during impound. 7/14/2020 EVALUATION Indifferent with handler, and allowed collar placement. Canine began growling in catch pen with flagged tail. Spent time in side yard. 8/22/2020 OBSERVATION Observed multiple times a day for four days. Canine is aroused in kennel; continuous barking and jumping up on kennel door. Adding to daily enrichment. 9/7/2020 OBSERVATION Easy kennel pull; pulled hard to wing door, then settled; explored yard; affiliative, leaned into petting all over; pawed at gates after some time; attempted to fence fight on return.
