Charming Charlie is an adorable, 8-year-old, 25 pound Dachshund/Spaniel (best guess) mix seeking a loving and committed new home! Charlie likes his people very much, and always wants to be close by them. He is good with other dogs and cats too, and enjoys the company of anyone who will give him plenty of affection and attention. Charlie walks well on a leash, and enjoys going for long walks. He has a few extra pounds to shed, so he hopes to find an active walking partner. Charlie would do best in a family with other dogs he can share his company and time with, or a home where his people would be around with him more often than not. He likes to go for car rides and has been around kids previously and been good. Charlie is a great cuddler and wonderful companion - he loves to sleep on the bed with you too. A lap dog at heart, Charlie came to us after his owner passed away. He has been loved his whole life and is ready to start his next chapter. He would love a fenced yard to sniff and explore, and is housetrained once he learns the routine. Charlie is listed as special needs because he does have mild seizures; we have found they have been triggered by vaccinations and stress.
