About Kai

This is my daughters dog, he is neutered and 2 in November. He is a purebred Shepherd (despite his unique coloring). Prior to being neutered, and after, he has expressed some aggression. He jumps up and snaps at anyone he doesn't want in his 'area'. On that note (my daughter doesn't live with me full time and the dog doesn't know me that well) he has only ever been agressive towards me the first time we met (we settled that right away!), never to my daughter, but he has lunged at my husband, lunged at a teen that walked into my house & snapped at several neighbors. This dog needs leadership, consistency, a firm hand, a responsible handler and probably a lot of socialization. My home is not a realistic place to work out these kinds of issues. Kai (dog's name) is house broken, past the chew everything up stage, is fine around other dogs and cats, completely up to date on vet visits & shots and knows basic commands. He needs work on a leash and with recall. We are giving him away but I don't want him around kids and would like to find someone who has experience with large breeds.
