About Poppy

I found this dog (male) approx 2 months ago wondering the street. We know for sure by unregistered chip he is about 15 years old. He was hairless to a degree and basically a real mess. Took to vet w/in 20 minutes. Was completely checked out, got the usual shots, antibiotic, hydration and w/out doing blood tests of any kind was told he was in pretty good shape. I brought him home, cleaned him up, trimmed up what was left of his fur gave him top notch food (I know now he'll eat anything and has a great apatite) and medicated baths every 2 days. He has since grown back all his fur, looks great, is deaf and needs bathing at least twice a week. Sleeps most of the day. He gets a walk 2 times a day. He is real good on a leash and walks along just fine, just not very far...I'm hoping I can find a forever home for this little dog. I have 3 other dogs, 5 cats and care for at least 12 neutered/spayed feral cats around my home. The person for this little dog should have patience, he's kind of slow and needs to be attended to at least every 2 hrs. I do not have the time to give the attention to this dog that he needs. If anyone out there can take and care for this dog in his waning years I would love to find that person. Thank you for considering taking in this senior dog who deserves more attention than I can give. Thank you
