About Shadow

Special Needs dog Needs special home. Shadows Story: I am a Blue Heeler. From 6 weeks to 10 weeks old someone had me outside tied up and only came out to feed and water me. That family up and moved out and left me outside tied up with no food or water. The neighbors found me days later and took me into their home with 3 young kids who were too much for me to handle and I kept trying to hide from them. My current mommy took me to my home that I now live in when I was 13 weeks old. I came into a family with a adult blue heeler and a cat. I live inside with them and love them. When outdoors if another cat or dog come onto my property I will try to bit them. I will also try to bite any person besides my family that is outside. I have gotten lose on a couple of occasions and ran down the road and tried to attack humans. So it will be best for me to be walked on a leash. My mommy does not want me living outside in a kennel or fenced area as she feels that is a part of my problem from being abandoned outside when I was young. I will also bite new people who come into my home but if mommy tells me they are okay to be here and they give me a treat then I wont bite them. I am very protective of my family and a bit nervous. I seem nervous sometimes and if there's a loud noise or you approach me to quick I will cower down. Most of the time while indoors I will sit at your feet and put my head on your knee and look at you and adore you. When I am not by your side I am usually laying upside down flat on my back. Mommy has taught me how to turn and dance like a ballerina on my hind feet for a cookie. I would probably be best suited to a Older couple who would never let me lose outside by myself and who would give me all the love and attention I can get. Life needs to be about me.
