About Kevin

Kevin is a super goofy boy that loves to play, loves to eat (except for processed cheese because he has standards) and loves getting snuggles. His fur is super soft and feels like velvet. Kevin's tail can become a weapon when he wags it happily so we aren't sure if little kids would be a good fit around him. This stud muffin is very smart and picks up on what his people want from him very quickly. He knows sit, down, shake and is house and crate trained. He minds his manners and doesn't get up on the table or try to mess with things he shouldn't. Kevin is still learning how to read other dog's cues and how to appropriately play with them without it getting to be too much. He needs really slow and proper introductions to them... and even then needs constant supervision. It appears as if he wants to meet other dogs a bit too eagerly like a man trying to pick up a lady at the bar and they don't always feel the same way. Though he can be around other dogs while supervised... we think being an only dog at this time is best for him unless you are 100% committed to doing the work it takes to continue to teach him what is permissible and whats not gonna fly. We believe Kevin is a Staffordshire/Pit Bull Terrier mix that is approximately a year and a half and 60 pounds. He is a bit bullheaded and will take someone with a no-nonsense personality to keep him in line. Kevin will take a leadership role if his humans do not which is not good for him. He thrives in a house that gives him both physical and mental stimulation. He responds great to structure and training. Bully breed experience is a plus and if visiting with another dog, he will need proper decompression and constant supervision until they get all settled in and comfortable with each other. You will need to understand this will take some time. He may be better as an only dog to alleviate any conflict. Kevin is such an awesome dog... and a wonderful buddy. He might not be the dog for everyone... but is he has so much to give to the right fit!
