About Loki

Loki was rescued when we worked a hoarding case 4 years ago. He was just about 6 months old back then. He got adopted and 4 years later returned due to life changes in the family. Loki is very shy at first, Hoarding case dogs often keep a certain personality. It takes him a few days to come around and then he is a real sweet and snuggly guy. He does need a low traffic home with no small children. Older children (10+) would be ok. Even though he has long fur, he doesn't shed much but he is not considered hypoallergenic. Not a good match for someone with allergies. NOT ELIGIBLE for an out of state adoption!!!!! Hi there! I'm Loki, a 4.5 year old Havanese Mix of 12 lbs. If you are looking for a fell that is a snuggle bug, adventure seeker or sometimes just very lazy, that's me! I might be a bit shy at first but I will warm up quickly. I love car rides and long walks. I am fully house broken and trained, but, due to my energy level, long walks or a yard to run around in is a plus! I do extremely well on the leash even though I'm very interested in all the sights and sounds around me. I'm dog friendly when I meet another pups walking by, but, I need to be the only dog of the house. I absolutely love treats, bones, and a good beef or chicken wet/dry dog food mix, but, I'm not really interested in toys. Just give me a few pillows on the couch or a few blankets around the house to lounge on and I'm very content. Apartments/Condos are not a problem for me as I don't bark much. I even do well in elevators! Because I am a very curious fella, balconies do need to be 'puppy proof' as I'm a very slim boy and will try to escape between the rails. Guess you can say I'm a bit of a Houdini. I do know a few commands/phrases such as 'outside, food, hungry, come, stay, and uh uh' but, I am a smart cookie and can learn more over time. It takes me awhile to warm up to someone new, but, as soon as I do, plan for me to snuggle next to you in bed, follow you around, protect you and never leave your side. I do have major separation anxiety, but, with continued work, maybe you can help me concur this? Right now, I'm working on my crate training and my new mommy/daddy will need to continue helping me. I have my very own comfy crate bed and calming spray to help! Leaving a radio or TV on by my crate also helps me too! Loki weighs 13 lbs, all fluff and is a Havanese kind of mix. Maybe some Pincher... he is handsome and very elegant. He can jump high and climb doggy gates. A very smart little cookie.
