About Chispa Very sweet girl

Charming CHISPA (#A1945866), age 13 years, was surrendered, along with her Best Buddy, to the East Valley Animal Shelter, Van Nuys, CA, on July 25, because their 'family' had 'no time' for them. (Her Best Buddy, is no longer listed, so I presume he was adopted/rescued.) The shelter notes say that CHISPA has 'minor medical,' but you'll have to call to find out what that is. Received brushing without issue. Knows sit command. Accepts head and body pets without issues. She was not reactive to other dogs walking through the kennels. Since she came in with A1945867 Bryan, Enrichment lead and I decided to get the two in the yard together. Bryan was not responsive in his kennel, just laying there, until Chispa was brought to the gate. Once Bryan was leashed and out of the kennel, both dogs were immediately and affectionately in one another's faces with quick licks. They were checking for each other during the walk through the kennels. Once in the yard they were engaged with one another, following each other. Chispa does appear to have a minor limp/gait. She welcomed pets and did not react to being touched on the head, neck, or back. Friendly dog. She became a little whiny when I stood at her kennel door and lightly pawed at the bottom of the door, wagging tail. She pranced for the treat and took treats gently through the door.
