About Kamo

This Plott Hound puppy, now a year old, was adopted by an elderly man on a whim. It is way too much dog for the owner to keep. It has high puppy energy, the owner is unable to give it the exercise it needs and craves, consequently it is developing some behavior issues due to lack of training and activity. It is mostly house trained but sometimes the owner doesn't get to the door in time (it's down a flight of stairs) and the dog has accidents. It is an extremely loving and lovable dog, and it is beautiful. I think it came from a back yard breeder, but it is as gorgeous as a plott hound can be. The owner is my brother and I've taken the dog to a dog park when it visits and it's very timid right now because of lack of socialization. The dog has great potential and it's still young enough to come into its own as a perfect pet. I don't know if it can be trained as a hunting dog. It seems timid but it may get over that with the proper socialization. The dog is located in Pittsfield, Maine right now but I am going to pick it up this week and I live in Kennebunk, York County.
