Think good karma for KEYSER (#A1805139), who was surrendered to the East Valley Animal Shelter, Van Nuys, CA, when his family was evicted from their residence. A couple of shelter employees have noted the following about KEYSER: 'Keyser appears to be very timid in this new environment. He was hiding in cubby but came out with a bit of coaxing and allowed slip lead to be put on. Pulled slightly toward yard but easy to manage. Once in yard, he trotted around the perimeter with tail tucked. I gave him his space, and he started to warm up in about 10 to 15 minutes. He followed me when called and allowed some petting on his head and back and would the walk away. Loud noises from the street startled him and made him nervous. He knows sit, down and shake and takes treats very gently. Walked well on leash inside the yard. Easy to return to his kennel.' '[Keyser is] shy and nervous but the way to his heart is definitely through his stomach. He loves to chow down and he knows how to politely 'sit' for it.'
