About Jetson

If you have no experience with dogs 60 lbs or larger - please do not apply - thank you. In order to insure a good match we ask that you apply ONLY IF - You own your home with a fenced in yard and intend to remain there for the next several years, If you have NO current or recent medical issues. Jetson is a 5 year old Beabull (Beagle/ English Bulldog). His markings make him quite the classic mix, with touches of natural mascara around his eyes! The mix of these pure breeds improves both, with a sense of keenness and skeletal anatomy - particularly the hips and respiration. He is mid-size, muscular (63 lbs.), taller than an English bulldog with the longer body, legs and snout of a Beagle. He is very healthy, loves to be with his people and craves attention. He needs to be with an experienced dog owner who is familiar with and loves the temperment of both breeds and who is firm and exudes leadership and someone who will be around and available to give him the attention and time that he deserves. A fenced yard is a must, as we would not consider an adoption without a daily means of being able to run and/or explore. He would make an ideal country dog. He is very loyal and has excellent guarding instincts and is a readily adaptable member of the family, as well as an excellent and alert watchdog. He is completely house trained with regular walks, and isn't too fussy about diet. He loves car rides and is able to get up into an SUV quite easily. He knows all the basic commands and even a few little tricks, such as giving his paw. He is affectionate, loves treats and still very trainable, given his age. He is not a barker but he does let out the Beagle deep 'woof' every once in a while. It has been a difficult decision to rehome Jetson. We would prefer someone require a 30-day selection process to find an excellent home.
