About Steve

Adoption Fee: $35
Nebelung
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

This is Steve. He is a high energy 1 year old Nebelung neutered male that I found roaming the streets of my old college town in February of 2020. If you are looking for a cat with lots of energy, high food motivation, and likes to walk on a leash, then this handsome boy is for you. A little about Steve: He is chatty! He will let you know when it's feeding time or when he's bored. When he is bored, he likes to demand your attention with ankle strikes then runs away for you to chase him. He loves human food and likes to get into the trash (I would recommend getting a heavy trash can with a lid), and will eat right off your plate if you let him. In his down time Steve enjoys looking out windows at birds, catching insects, and sleeping in the sun. I have trained him to walk on a leash, although with the hot weather he tends to overheat and we are out of practice. He would really benefit with access to a cat tree or shelving where he can sit and watch over the house. Also a scratching post is a must! Through all of his antics Steve is very good with the litter box and prefers pine shavings as his litter of choice. Steve would benefit the most with a forever that is willing to commit 20-30 minutes of play time a day. It keeps him out of trouble, as he gets restless when he doesn't get enough exercise. Right now he is about 12-15 pounds and has had no health issues thus far. I would not free feed him because he will eat you out of house and home. I do not know how he is with other cats or dogs. He has only been around adults since I have had him but I do not think he would do well with small children. Steve is not for everyone but if you think you are up to the challenge feel free to inquire about this fluffy rascal!
