Maxwell is available for adoption and is currently being fostered in New Port Richey, FL (Pasco County). Maxwell is a neutered, six-year-old, deaf and blind, double merle Australian Shepherd mix. He does not let being deaf and blind slow him down; he quickly learns and is able to navigate his surroundings. He is heartworm negative, up-to-date on shots, on monthly preventatives, crate trained, house trained, and weighs approximately 50 pounds. Maxwell is food/treat motivated and likes to go for walks and car rides. He gets along with other dogs (not sure about cats) and likes to romp around with his foster siblings. He is currently living with three other dogs and has playdates with a 15-month-old Great Dane. Maxwell seems to love everyone and everything he meets. He has been around a 12-year-old special needs child and loved giving him kisses. Maxwell is in the process of learning touch commands, he knows 'sit' and 'come,' and he walks well on a leash. This sweet boy is loving, well mannered, and likes to be near his human. He would do well with a confident, but playful packmate.
