About Bobby Lee

Bobby Lee 5 year old, 20 pound Jack Russell and Chihuahua mix. Bobby Lee is a sweet, shy guy who takes time to trust new people and seek their attention. He will need a patient adopter willing to give him time to trust them and form a bond. Bobby Lee would like a calm home without a lot of commotion, he has never been around young children. He doesn't have any experience on a leash and needs a fenced yard to run and explore safely. Bobby Lee does well with other dogs his size and is just learning to play. He does like to fetch. Bobby Lee was originally adopted as a puppy from a Missouri shelter to a senior citizen. He has lived his entire life with this senior and never left his home or yard. Bobby Lee's dad became ill and ended up in the hospital after a fall and was no longer able to care for himself or Bobby Lee and his two other dogs. Many of our foster moms are nurses. One of them was called to his hospital room to help him get his dogs safe. At that point they had been out in the yard in the heat without shelter, food or water for several days. Our foster mom went running and got all three dogs safe. Bobby Lee is a chubby guy and is steadily losing weight. We think she should weigh about 14 pounds. He doesn't mind his diet is feeling better and moving more each day. Every day Bobby Lee's world gets bigger as he has new experiences. Bobby Lee is an affectionate guy.
