Bella Banana is a beautiful petite muted/blue/cream calico long hair female approx. 10mo. Her adoption fee is $75. She has been vetted and spayed. She is a diva and wants to be the only pet to have her people all to herself. She was found on the street as a tiny kitten, given to 'mom' two months ago where the senior dog and cat live and Bella is not havin it! She will be happiest as the queen of the home. THEY DIDN'T TAKE THE EASY WAY OUT AND DUMP HER AT THE KILL SHELTER, THEY MADE THE EFFORT AND GOT HELP! IT'S A LIFE! Most kitties don't just go into a new home and own it, they need an adjustment period. Patience, love and space will be needed for a few days. She is very much a mommas girl and doesn't want the other animals near her. She is very vocal and when it's her time to come out of her room she prances out calling to mamma. She is a calico, she does what she wants! If you are familiar with the calico or torti you know what I mean :) You love them but they have a little extra zing! So being a 'cat', being young, being a 'female', being a 'calico'�'�|she can be a little spicy! She can go from sweet, cuddly, loving, playful, demanding and feisty, all within a few minutes. She likes it her way ie pet me where I want, when I want, for how long I want, but that's typical for a cat. Her quirk is she does not like her hind end area touched so definitely a no touch zone. She does get on the counters and tables, nothing a little squirt bottle won't fix. She is very much a kitten and can play rough if you use your hands, so don't! Use interactive toy like feather on a stick or laser lite on hand. She also likes shoe lace drag as well as the Fling ama String and the $2 'cat dancer' toys. She is a horizontal scratcher so the rectangle corrugated scratcher that lays flat on the floor works great as well as a carpet sample. She loves looking out the window at the birds on a tall cat tree sitting in front of the window with sun rays beaming in. She will expect to share your bed. She loves her kitty treats and has been free fed quality hard food (quality meaning the first ingredient begins with meat) but her main diet is canned Fancy Feast morning and night, any flavor she loves them all. Below information is for preventative purposes�'�| Too many male AND female cats are getting the UTI - urinary tract infection and crystals in their urine. It's a blockage, it's painful and if ignored will lead to death. Vets say the hard food is at fault because it does not deliver enough liquids. It's simple to monitor. Just make sure there is at least one good size pee ball in the litter box a day. Kitty fountains are effective to help manage a cat's fluids. A diet of good quality canned food pate is better than dry food however there are some dry foods that are pH balanced and help maintain Urinary Tract - UT health like Blue Buffalo, Purina Pro Plan, Purina One UT health, Iams UT health.
