My name is Jones. I am the Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia's longest term resident. I have been living at the shelter for 5 months now. I was abandoned in a dog park in March. I don't know why they left me. It was all so confusing. The shelter shutdown due to a virus, and I was placed in foster care twice. I loved it! The first time I was brought back from foster because I was scared of the man in the house. I was just so intimidated by him that I would bark when he walked in the room. He was big! The second time I did great but they had cats. I had never seen a cat.. so you can imagine I was very curious. They were worried so brought me back. I love the staff and volunteers at the shelter, but I am scared when people come to visit me. Instead of cowering, I show my fear by barking and making myself look as scary as possible. It's all I know to do. I promise if you give me some time, I will warm up. I love cuddling and kisses and I was 'house trained' (whatever that means) in my foster homes. Please email my friend Staci at [email protected] if you would like to adopt me. I am even free! How cool is that!
