About Milo

Milo is an adorable 3 year old terrier mix. We can only speculate what he's mixed with, but based on looks and sounds, a good guess would be a little Shih Tzu, and a whole lot of Wookiee! Milo has a lot of fur but he's not a big shedder. He is also not as big as he looks. He's quite lean and weighs in at about 12 pounds. He has the cutest ability to curl up in the smallest little ball! At night, Milo sleeps well in an open door kennel or a dog bed in his foster parent's room, but his favorite spot is on a pillow at the head of the bed. Milo wakes up happy each morning ready to play and wrestle. He is not a hyper dog and is quite gentle in his play. He walks well on a leash and looks forward to his afternoon walks with his foster dad every day. He uses a doggie door and loves to explore outside. He can often be found outside chasing a squirrel or just basking in the sunshine. Milo is housebroken, though he may try to mark his territory initially, especially if there is another male dog in the home. His foster parents said he stopped trying to mark after just 2 days in their home and there are 4 other male dogs in the home. Milo gets along well with his 4 foster brothers and enjoys playing chase with them in the backyard. He also gets along well with his foster sister, a cranky, old cat. He doesn't try to play with her, but he respects her and gives her a wide berth. Milo would do well in a home that already had another loving and accepting dog. We also feel Milo would do well as an only dog, soaking up all the love and attention for himself. A fenced yard is a must for this boy! Milo can be a bit timid at first and has a past history of fear biting. Because of this, he should not go to a home with small children. However, once Milo knows you, he is super friendly and sweet. His foster parents say he's a little cuddle bug and regularly jumps in their laps for love and kisses. Milo is really a great little dog! He is up to date on shots, heartworm negative, neutered, and microchipped with a lifetime registration .
