Hi, my name is PATCHES - ID#A4055161. I am a neutered male, blue and white American Pit Bull Terrier mix, and I weigh about 58 lbs. The shelter staff think I am about 4 years old, and I have been at the shelter since Aug 17, 2020. At first glance, Patches may look like the kind of guy who has it all figured out - cool, tough, confident... 58 lbs of smiling pit bull. But in reality, Patches has been very nervous about needing to stay in the shelter - to the point of being trembling and downright terrified at first, needing constant reassurance just to get a leash on and leave his kennel! Thankfully, he's beginning to loosen up a little when he goes outside, but he would be MUCH more comfortable living in a nice quiet home. Maybe he could join your family? Patches enjoyed playing and socializing with similarly-sized dogs he met here at the shelter, and may enjoy sharing his home with a pupper playmate or two. Please bring your dog(s) along to the shelter, and we'll be happy to help with introductions! We don't know if Patches has been around children before, and always recommend supervising children when they interact with any dog. It may be helpful to bring your children along to the shelter to meet your newest family member in a controlled environment before adopting.
