The little, old girl is a hoot and brings absolute joy to life! Millie is a 12-year-old, 40-lb cattle dog mix currently being fostered in Manatee County, FL. Although blind, Millie enjoys keeping busy all day long finding and playing with squeaky toys, chasing the vacuum, chewing on knuckle bones, rearranging rugs and dog beds, and, most of all, following her person all over the house. She loves to be with people and will bark to find out where they are. Belly rubs are high on her favorite list. In just a few weeks, she has learned to find her way outside and back into the house, and she is really fast getting around the house now. Millie is not a fan of being outside for longer than a few minutes at a time. She is fine with going out twice a day. She doesn't like going for walks or to new places. Because Millie is blind, she sometimes gets into other dogs' personal space, but quickly learns who to stay away from. She would be much happier as an only dog but can live with others. She is heartworm positive and undergoing treatment in October. She will bring so much joy to the life of a person willing to accept her just the way she is. As a senior, Millie's standard adoption donation is $250, but $150 for an adopter 65+ through our Seniors for Seniors program. She is up-to-date on vaccines and microchipped. All information about the rescue and adoption can be found at: ewenityfarmsbch.com.
