About Petey

Petey is looking for a hero, or even several heroes. He has been in the shelter for almost 2 years and until recently had little to no human interaction or time outside of his cage. Despite what he's endured, Petey has made several human friends this year and enjoys time out hiking, playing, or just lounging around with the volunteers who take him out. Petey needs a rescue group who can give him some time to decompress and transition from the stress of being caged for 2 years to living in a home where he will need to be the only pet. We are also looking for board and train options so if you have any recommendations or experience with facilities in NJ that can help please let us know so we can contact them. Be one of Petey's heroes, help us get him out of the shelter and on his way to a new home.
