About Buttercup

Rottweiler
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Buttercup is a sweet girl who is est. to be 3 to 5 yrs old. She loves balls'|tennis balls, old soccer balls'|but is fine with your taking it away from her. She has had no accidents in her crate and is housebroken. She really seems younger than 4 and is very playful. HISTORY: Buttercup was found wandering the streets of King, NC in early October. She was brought to the county shelter where she languished for several weeks. Shelter staff fell in love with her sweet Rottie personality but sadly she was heart worm positive and no rescues stepped up to save her. With her final hours approaching, that's when we, Rottweiler Hearts Rescue, stepped in and a foster was found. FOSTER HOME: She arrived at her foster home late on 10/25/19 but settled right in. She gets along with their female pit/boxer mix who is queen bee and enjoyed playing with Roxie. Her first weekend was spent settling in and learning our routine. One of the first things I noticed was that she watches TV. Buttercup is very smart, treat motivated and playful. We have cows and a donkey that she can see through the fence on our walks and she really wants to check them out. Buttercup will be a great addition to a family as she is very loving, smart and trainable. Her foster mom says: Very sweet Loves pets, her rear is the most fav spot Food motivated Loves her toys will play by herself or with others Crate trained She loves to eat grass and dirt She will take and eat paper It takes a few days for her to get used to other dogs. She love to bark at cars going up and down the street ( she has killed 2 blinds) MEDICAL: Buttercup met her net vet on 10/28 who checked her out. He thought she was 4-6 years old but overall very healthy. She has a fatty tumor on her chest but he felt that it was nothing. Buttercup may have some arthritis in one hip as she is painful on rainy days but she responds well to Rimadyl. Good with older children. ADOPTION DETAILS: All RHR available dogs live in foster homes, indoors, as part of the family.
