About Marvin

Marvin is my complicated little buddy. We adopted him from the local shelter He is the most sweet and affectionate dog I've ever had. He's so happy just to be with us. He likes to be lazy with us and run and play with us. As long he's with us. Unfortunately we live in a neighborhood full of dogs and he is unpredictable when it comes to *some* dogs. He got loose today and got into a fight with out neighbors dog and actually bit him and broke the skin. Those neighbors are now afraid of my dog and think we are irresponsible pet owners I'm sure. Had this not happened, we probably would have just continued to work on socializing him. While he has never actually injured another animal, this has become more stress than I can handle as I just adopted our 7 year old daughter as well. We are a family full of rescues. Marvin is nervous and I think maybe he reacts out of fear, maybe low self esteem? We have had him for almost a year now and while we have had very successful trips to the dog park, we've had some unsuccessful trips. He is a good runner if you like to jog, but without a pronged collar, he can be a pill to walk. Call for more info please.
