About Buddy

Hi I have a special needs Corgi/Lab mix , he is a wonderful dog very sweet and super playful, lives to play And go for walks ( which is funny because of his special need), we ended up with Buddy because my husband Was a maintenance supervisor at Retirement community, and when one of the residents died, whom my husband liked very much we somehow ended up with Buddy, and none of the mans family came to claim him, so we have had him for a little while. While we would love to keep him even, though he is a lil bit of work, we are moving out of state and will be staying in a small travel trailer with 4 dogs and 2 cats ( btw cats are not his favorite) and just don't have the time he wants and needs or the extra money for vet care etc... So his special need is this and we really don't know what it's from, but he has either been hurt in the past or has some sort of nerve damage in lower half, when he first arrived here he did not walk hardly at all, he dragged himself which he was doing before we got him, so not knowing his background or when someone would claim him I did not rush him off to doctor, but however I did work with him hours everyday and now he runs and thinks he can jump (he cant) he has a funny gait now though, so none of that is bad, the real special needs comes in with potty time, he sometimes starts to use the bathroom, and does not realize it till the pee hits his foot, and then he halls booty to the backdoor, he feels so bad when it happens you can tell it devastates him, he is much better than when we got him, I feel with help he could do way better. So luckily I have ceramic wood tile, so it's always been easy to clean up after him, plus when I'm just tired of doing it, I have bought him a couple Washable dog diapers. ( super easy and helpful). I don't know when he was last at vet, but he a fatty now probably a lil fatter than he needs to be. I really would love for him to have a forever home before we leave, Or at least make sure he is with someone who also wants that for him, he is a very loving boy. Please if you are interested in Buddy and you have carpet and cant put the time in for diapers, he is probably not the dog for you, but if you do have the time he is wonderful.
