Thor 2 Years Old Boxer/Mastiff Mix Dog friendly No cats No kids Natural Tail Fostered in Sandy, OR Hi, my name is Thor and like Thor in Norse mythology, I'm a big powerful guy! I came into the rescue with my brother, and he has found his forever home so it is just me now and I'm trying to be patient but I really want a forever home too! As I said, I'm 100 lbs of solid Mastiff/Boxer muscle with lots of energy but I can also appreciate naps, snuggles, scratches and I give kisses in return. I also think I'm a lap dog, but not everyone agrees. I like toys, especially big sturdy ones that I can carry around and chew on. I like stuffed ones too, but unfortunately they die quickly. Dog beds usually meet the same fate. My foster mom says that I may grow out of it, but I'm not sure. I love water - all you need to do is turn on the hose and I run and jump through it and try to catch the water in my mouth. It's a great way to use up some of my energy but my foster mom says this is not at all helpful when she is trying to do chores and water the flowers. I really like people, both men and women. Older kids are great but because of my size, no small children please. I get along with most dogs especially average size to large ones. Some smaller dogs are okay but cats and chickens are not for me. I'm learning about walking on a leash and being obedient but there are so many other things I'd rather do like exploring, playing and napping but I am getting better! I'd really like a big yard or even an acre or two to run in. Are you that special person looking for me? From Thor's foster mom: Thor is a handsome, well built dog with lots of personality and an unexpected gentleness for his size. He is very smart but lacks some impulse control but he is learning now that he is in a home with structure. He still tries to do things his way and can be a bit stubborn but he is making a lot of progress. His forever home needs a confident, patient person who has experience with very large dogs. Strong leadership and firm expectations are necessary for him to continue to become the dog he is meant to be. Obedience classes would be ideal to establish both bonding and skills. He is an amazing dog and will quickly worm his way into your heart! Apply today! http://Bit.ly/WHBRadopt
