About Dori

Adoption Fee: $50
Domestic Cat
Age: Kitten
Sex: Female

Dori is a 6 month old kitten that has ZERO clue she is disabled. She can do flights of stairs, climbs on couches and beds, and chase toys all over the house. She has a phenomenal personality that is sure to capture your heart in a nanosecond. She gets along well with cats and dogs and plays with them like she doesn't have a care in the world. She loves to cuddle on your lap and sleep on soft blankets. Dori even climbs to the top of cat trees like the best of them. She has a strong spirit and doesn't let anything get her down. Sadly, Dori came to us with back legs that simply do not work well. She has to use her claws to pull herself up on things....which when she wants attention can include your leg. She needs baths once or twice a week because she can't really clean herself in her back end very well. Dori can get little sores on her legs from dragging them around, so a home with no carpet is ideal for both her mobility and the accidents she has. Diapers are a possibility... but we haven't used them. She does try to use the litter box but we think she often doesn't know it is going to happen until it is too late so she just goes where she goes. She currently follows her people around inside and out. Because of this, she can dart out the door pretty quickly but doesn't go far. Surprisingly she is pretty fast and will impress you with her can-do attitude. We understand that it is going to take a special person to adopt an incontinent cat. However... we know we did the right thing by saving this sweet girl. She is SO FULL OF LIFE and is as happy as can be! She gives as much as she receives and the bond she creates makes it all worth while. She is a phenomenal cat and deserves a forever home as much as any other. You can apply to adopt Dori at www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt. Her adoption fee is $50 and she is vaccinated & spayed. If you have questions about her, feel free to reach out to us and we will answer any additional questions you may have.
