About Charlie Brown

Adoption Fee: $225
Lab mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

This is Charlie. Charlie Brown to be exact. Charlie is a jerk. Charlie is 7 months old, maybe 8 going on 30. We aren't really sure. We do think he is an old man stuck in a young body, all while yelling 'Get Off My Lawn!' Charlie gives the 'side-eye' like he invented it. He doesn't like change at all. New people, new dogs, new places. None of it suits him. To show you how much he hates change, his hackles will go up so everyone can see how much of a grump he is. Hold up, we lied. He likes the vet. Actually, he LOVES the vet. Maybe because they dote on him, and play into his ego, pump him up, send him on his way. He has them totally fooled. Suckers! We also don't know what Breed Charlie is. His siblings were cute. One looked like a yellow Lab. One looked like a shepherd mix. Charlie looks like he likes eyeliner and belongs in a heavy metal band. That's it. We can't figure him out but he thinks he is hot stuff and should get all the ladies. Charlie cannot go to a home with kids. He actually really does not like most kids. He likes a few, like the ones he knew when he was younger... but even they got on his nerves at times. So since he is grouchy, we think it's best not to push it and make kids suffer living with a puppy that acts like an old grumpy gramps in the house. Charlie likes other dogs, on his terms. It takes him a long time to adjust (and he is super-duper unpleasant until he gets comfy), but once he does, he is pretty cool. He likes to wrestle, that's about it. Is Charlie housebroke? Sometimes. Most of the time actually. He basically does what he wants. Charlie isn't all grump though once he learns to trust. Charlie loves to play and is good at it. He also likes to be petted and snuggle on the couch. He is crate trained and is an expert napper. Charlie has a medical condition that affects his skin. It's called calcinosis cutis or calcinosis circumscripta. He had surgery and biopsies done already. He is going to see a Dermatologist for further answers but 'Rona is making it hard to get into the doctors. We will update you more once we know more. Charlie will take several meets to figure out if he likes you, so be prepared to work for his affection. Charlie isn't the dog for everyone... but could he be the dog for you?
