The shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 3 months old, and I have been at the shelter since Jul 29, 2020. Miles got off to a rough start with his office foster experience today. Anxiety led to some jumping into and over gates and dutch doors, but given some time he started to settle in. This is a young, adorable dog who does not cope well at the shelter. Miles will need some patience and guidance, but that sweet face will be worth it. He loves people and is dog friendly, so if you already have a dog, maybe we could get along. We woul need to do an intro first of course. Sadly I am set to be euthanized in a few days. I am struggling in the shelter environment badly, so badly, that I am hiding under my bed at times, shaking and scared to come out. Some dog's can handle this environment better than other's....not me!....I need out or I will be put down since it is not humane to keep me here....will you save my life? I am more handsome in person. I came into the shelter shivering and with my tail tucked. There have been times that I am SO SCARED that I hide under my bed on the cold concrete and shake. Anxiety has also caused me to jumps gates so I need a tall wall in my new place. I really need out! Can you save me? I need a home that will allow me to decompress, get into a routine in a calm home environment and bond with my new family. I know 'sit' but I might not be good with really young kids since I am jumpy at times, yet, that could be shelter stress too.
