About Margo

Jack Russell / Chihuahua
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Meet Margo! This small mixed breed pup is about 14lbs and about 6-7 months old. She came to IL after being found in poor conditions in Tennessee with her sister Mango. Margo is learning to live in a house and trust humans. So far things are going well! Initially she was confused by living in a house but with patience is getting into the swing of things. Margo loves to jump on the couch and into your lap. She loves to give kisses and snuggle up. Margo enjoys playing with the other dogs in her foster home, but likes to be in charge - even with the 50lb resident dog! Even though she's smaller than the cats in her home, she likes to chase them, so a cat free home might be best. As Margo has settled in her true puppy self has started to emerge! She's fun and feisty and can be full of energy! Like all puppies Margo would really benefit from structure and positive reinforcement as she settles into a new home. Margo is discovering what fun toys are too! Margo is a fantastic puppy and can't wait to snuggle up with her new family! Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a 'teen' or adult dog. Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.
