About Kita

Kita is a sweet older boy. He is 11 years old and due to no fault of his own needs a new home. He has been raised with other dogs, cats, and children. Now that he is older, we are seeing that he wants to be top dog and at times guards the dogs' gravity feeding station. He has never snapped, bitten, or shown any type of violence to humans. His sight is not the best lately. He loves short walks, treats, and his crinkle toys. He is house trained and will let you know when he must go out. He loves the snow and on cool days would rather sit or snooze on the deck. He now is scared of fireworks and will cry to come in if he hears them outside. He does not get and has not been raised getting table scraps. He isn't the type or dog to sit and beg for food nor will he try to sneak it off the table. He can be stubborn at times. He likes dog parks and gets along with all dogs but might try mounting them to show dominance. He knows basic commands. The ideal home for him would be either by himself so he can get all the attention with someone that's retired or works from home. He is not destructive and can be left alone. He has never been crated and does not need to be. He doesn't go on furniture or mark. He must be on leash or he will wonder off and get lost. He's great at the groomer's and a good boy on car rides. Would love a fenced yard for him.
