4.5 yr old German Shorthair Pointer Dixie ** DIXIE & HAPPY ARE A BONDED PAIR, MUST BE ** ADOPTION PENDING ** ADOPTION DONATION IS NEGOTIABLE** . DIXIE IS SWEET, VERY AFFECTIONATE, BEAUTIFUL and GRACEFUL. Her tail never stops wagging when you are petting her. Dixie is loving and enjoys her cuddle time with people. She's a friendly, happy dog. She loves companionship and being in the same room with you. She will sleep on the dog bed but will sometimes try to climb in bed with you. Occasionally she will sneak up on the couch when no one's looking. She's potty trained and settles down nicely in the house. We were told she has not been used for hunting and was a family dog. She has a GOOD NOSE though. She was on the scent of a pheasant yesterday. She is in foster care with her daughter. She needs room to run.. She has plenty of energy. Loves the doggie door. She's only in the kennel during the time if I have to leave the house. She's not happy with that arrangement but she's adjusting. She sometimes whines but she and Happy will settle down if you say 'enough.' Dixie is NOT A KENNEL DOG. Some people with hunting dogs keep them outside in a kennel. Dixie is a FAMILY member, an inside/outside dog. Dixie will not be available for adoption until after her spay on 9/29..
