About Bright

German Shepherd mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Hi, I'm Bright! You don't know me yet, but I hope you soon will. I am a 2-year old, 55lb German Shepard girl and I have so much love to give. I came to Illinois with a shattered femur and heartworm. With a little TLC and lots of rest I am feeling so much better. I may be a tri-pawed girl but I don't let that stop me! I am a very loyal and protective girl, but with your guidance and love I know I can be the best dog ever. I would do best in a quiet home where kids are older, as younger children and strangers tend to make me nervous. I would also do well in a home with dog experience to help my self-esteem and keep up on my training. I walk well on a leash and wouldn't dare go potty in the house. My foster mom and dad leave me to go to work for 7+ hours during the weekdays. I miss them a ton but I know they will be back soon to give me kisses! I do well in my crate during the day but I prefer to be left out to sleep in my many beds. I wouldn't dare do anything bad to upset my foster family while they are away. I can have a lot of energy at times, but I know when it is time to settle down and catch some z's. I would really like a yard where I can look at all the birds and chase an occasional rabbit if necessary. I'll catch one eventually'| Some of my favorite things are ear scratches, bird watching out the window, long naps and of course cheese. I am still unsure about these things called stairs but I'm slowly gaining the confidence to give them a try. My foster mom gave me some new toys when I moved in and I'm finally starting to get the hang of them. I really like playing tug of war. I may take a while to warm up, but I can guarantee once I do, I will love you forever. Do you have room in your heart and home for me?
