About Lily

10 yr old, 4 lb Lily is a sweet, sweet oh so pretty Special Needs Chihuahua. Dear Lily is blind. However her blindness does not stop her from enjoying her life. She had a terrible cough when she first came to us, along with higher than normal kidney levels. We are very pleased that her kidney levels are now back to normal due to a correct diet. As far as her cough x-rays showed the tiniest, tiniest trace of trachea problem. However it has been decided that her cough is very much from allergies. Since giving her a cough medicine her cough is now almost non-existent. To be honest the thing her foster mom finds the most unfortunate is no one bothered to properly potty train her. (human error!) So usually her foster mom does have her wear a diaper. However since being in her foster home she has been going potty more and more outdoors in the yard. At times she has even scratched at the door going to the yard to go out. Her foster mom loves that she is not at all yappy, (especially for a Chihuahua!) and rarely ever barks. She gets on fine with the other dogs in the house and was fine with a guest kitty. We do think she would be best in an adult only household.
