About Peggy

Adoption Fee: $250
Australian Cattle Dog mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Meet Peggy, a Cattledog mix girl who was born in September of 2019. She weighs about 36 pounds and should not get much bigger. Peggy is learning fast! So far she comes on command. She has also had no accidents in the house, so seems to be potty trained. She will obviously need reinforcement of her good behavior in her new home. She is a good listener and ready to learn more. Peggy has shown herself to be great with people, even kids. She also seems good with animals. She leaves the chickens alone! Peggy is a fun girl. She is very playful with other dogs and has lots of energy. She needs to have another dog around her age in her new home. She is also playful with humans. She loves to play with balls. Stuffed animals are her favorite. She carries a stuffed animal every where. So cute! Peggy is good in the car, even loading up and getting out when asked. Peggy does like to play a bit rough, sometimes using her mouth to pinch. A quick 'play nice' soft correction reminds this girl to tone it down. It's all in play, but that means no small kids for her. Peggy is also just learning that fast movements won't hurt her. She sometimes jumps away, but does come back. Peggy is fantastic for someone who likes herder energy and brains, but wants half the crazy. She is active. She is a shadow to her person. She takes treats gently. She is a very good listener and eager to learn. She even smiles when spoken to! That said, Peggy will not be okay left alone for a full work day. She will get bored, so her new home must either have her with them all day or leverage doggy daycare. Peggy is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. Please note that we do not ship our dogs. She is available for a meeting and adoption in SoCal. A home visit and vet reference are required.
