About Trixie

Meet Trixie! Trixie is a 5-year-old Chihuahua Mix. Her chi features are obvious, but she is 20 pounds, and with her body and coloring we are guessing she may have some Min Pin in there as well! Trixie is both a fun girl and a girl who likes to chill on the sofa! She likes to play fetch, 'hand wrestle' and chase deer in the yard. And wherever you are is where she wants to be! She takes a little time to warm up to you, and it is wise to let her come to you first. She stresses when reached for, but she WILL come to you for snuggles. She sleeps in bed with her current parents but does not like when they reach for each other. We are not sure if she is resource guarding or feels like she is protecting them. She currently lives with two small dogs (12# and 7#) and she is very good with the bigger one. She is a bit aggressive with the little one. She eats, sleeps, goes on walks and hangs in the yard with both. She is so human focused that she may be best in a home with no other pets. We feel that a home with only one other, bigger dog would be OK too. She is a little bit alpha. She chases small children; she does not bite them, but she sounds and behaves aggressively towards them because they move fast! For this reason, we do not recommend a home with small children. While she is a sweet girl, she has some trust issues, and needs an owner who is kind, firm and patient with her. She will be a loyal devoted pal forever in the right home! She is up to date with all her shots, is heartworm negative and on a preventative, and takes 3 mile walks all the time! She did have a struvite bladder stone, but she had surgery and should have no further issues. Currently in Kintersville, PA. Bucks County.
