Bean is a wonderfully cute lab/hound mix. He's approximately 90 lbs. He had been abandoned in a State Park and was starving when we rescued him. He gets along great with other dogs and fine with people in outside settings. He walks well on the leash and has had leash training. Loves to fetch. Fantastic with people and other dogs at the dog park. Fully house broken of course. Unfortunately for me, he has become overly protective of me and of his space in my house, and has recently started exhibiting aggression toward my teenage son. Given Bean's size, I've been advised to find another home for him or euthanize him. This is breaking my heart. Passive, loving, no signs of aggression toward me. Generally submissive with other dogs. Recently started anti-anxiety medication which should help, but my teenager is not comfortable with him in the house. I would love to keep him. He's the best security system you could ever ask for, in addition to being a sweet companion. Great dog for a single adult or possibly a couple.
