About Cookie

Cookie is a 7 year old Staffordshire Terrier. We rescued her 2 years ago from a shelter. The shelter said the previous owners surrendered her was because 'their family outgrew her.' She came to us with some anxiety from the shelter which has subsided for the most part. She loves walks, belly rubs & has quite the personality which constantly has us laughing. She is very lovable dog to her owners but also very protective. Because of that, we normally crate her when guests come to the house. As long as we have had her she has never bitten anyone but we do it just to be safe since we know she can be protective. We are looking to re-home Cookie because we have a baby on the way & we are not sure how she will react. With the pregnancy she has started acting protective of my wife toward our 10 year old son. She has started growling at him a little when he gets close to her. Her perfect home would have teenage and above people living there, no other pets present.
