About Athena

Athena is a purebred Patterdale terrier (no papers), and NOT a Manchester terrier - her breed was not listed. She is a relatively small dog - under 30 pounds. She is very loving with her human family members. The children in the family are TEENAGERS. They were 12 and 13 when we got Athena. She has NOT been around small children, so it is unknown whether she is good with small children. She loves to play with soft squeaky toys (she does remove the squeakies). She loves to play tug-of-war with the toys, and she will play fetch. She's an INDOOR dog and will go to the door when she needs to go outside. If she is not noticed, though, she will potty in front of the door. She is NOT good with small dogs. She has attacked my elderly Yorkie several times, many of those times quite seriously. She is a very dominant dog. She is great with our mixed terrier who is more dominant than her, so I think she'd be fine with a young, BIG dog, because she loves to play with our other dog.
