About Matilda

Located in Richmond, Virginia, Matilda is an approximately 11 year old petite house panther who appears to be a Bombay/Domestic Mix. Mats is a snuggler who hop into my lap when I sit down in her rescue room, but who also enjoys sitting behind me on the back of a chair or sofa and styling my hair and/or giving me a massage. Although a mature girl, Matilda still has plenty of kitten energy and enjoys toy tossing and chasing and catching the red dot. Mats was previously adopted but her human mom suffered debilitating fall resulting in a hip injury and was forced to move from her home into an assisted living facility so Mats returned to my rescue crew. Life has not always been easy for this kitty girl. When I trapped her, she was a kitten scavenging in a parking lot behind a restaurant on Broad Street in Richmond, Virginia, dodging cars and predators. Since being returned to me she has bonded with another of my rescue kitties, a big boy named Atticus who is also listed on RescueMe, and truly is smitten with him. Matilda has been spayed, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, combo tested negative for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus, dewormed, treated for fleas and microchipped.
