About Scrappy Doo

Scrappy Doo came to us in pretty bad shape after living outside most of his life. He couldn't use his back legs and his teeth were so bad they had rotted a hole in his face. We put him on pain meds and now he can walk and run happily! We removed 22 teeth and now he can eat much more comfortably. We discovered he has slight kidney disease, but on the right kidney diet he should do just fine for the next few years! Scrappy is looking for a home to spoil him in his golden years. He still is a spunky little guy who loves to play fetch, but he also loves to sleep on a nice big bed! Scrappy wasn't properly cared for in his last home, so he needs a patient and loving family to understand he may take some time to housebreak, considering he lived outdoors and in a garage for most of his life. He loves affection and to be pet and brushed, but he can get snappy when picked up, bathed, or brought to the vet for treatment, so an adult only home that will be understanding of this behavior is a must. Scrappy would be happy in an apartment or house, as long as there aren't many stairs for him to walk up and down on a daily basis.
