Thanks for your cooperation!*** WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to cover medical bills. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase QuickPay, PayPal, or cash. Another extremely sad story, this sweet boy was originally born in Korea in yet again another death camp of a meat farm for dogs to be used for humane consumption. Sonny's mum along with Sonny & his 8 siblings were rescued from the meat farm but unfortunately his mum tested positive for heart worm. His mum was treated for heart worm & thankfully everyone found their forever home. Sonny had a home for the past 2 years but unfortunately the Korean rescue was contacted because the family wanted to return Sonny to them for barking, they said he was barking at everything. The rescue reached out to us to help Sonny find his new forever home & we were more than happy to. Sonny was rescued by the amazing Korean rescue originally just over 2 years ago & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Korean rescue & we are so extremely grateful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough. Sonny was bought back to the USA just over 2 years ago by the Korean rescue & is a US citizen & so happy to be here & can't wait to find his new loving forever home. Sonny is such a lovely little soul, he is one of the nicest, easiest & friendliest boys. So far the only time we have heard him bark which is hardly ever & only sometimes when he plays, but that has been it. For his new family we will only be accepting applications who have another very playful dog or dogs in the home. He loves to be held & cuddled & given affection, he is such a gentle giant. We are working on putting more weight onto this boy as he needs to put on a substantial amount of weight & it will need to continue in his new home. But since being with us we have already seen the difference in his weight, he loves to eat & is not shy at all with eating with us & enjoys his food. Sonny will need a home with a fully fenced backyard as he is a large dog & needs exercise. Sonny rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good car ride. Sonny walks well on a leash. Sonny is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & never give up on him. Sonny has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & loves other dogs & must go to a forever home with other dogs present in the home for him to thrive. Sonny is roughly 93 lbs, 2.5 years old & perhaps a Tosa Inu, male & we have been putting weight on him, but he is still so thin & in his new home they will need to continue putting weight on him, he is neutered, now microchipped, up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed twice. Sonny has not been around cats since being in the rescue but in his previous home he was around cats, chickens & livestock & small children all day but it's always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children & it's always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We were not there when Sonny was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it's always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Sonny's friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to & not just take him to 1 training class. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Sonny potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training
