About Harvie

Adoption Fee: $100
Pit Bull / Jack Russell
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

With big hearts and great sadness, we need to find a new home for our sweet girl Harvie. Harvie came to us as a rescue from Texas as a 3 month old pup. Now at 3 years old, she's an incredibly active pup, loves hikes, runs, time at the park and anything outdoors. She loves to bath in the sun, gets lots of massages from Mom and Dad, and can even run on a doggie treadmill. She's very curious but doesn't quite know what to make about the world around her. Harvie is incredibly sweet, a very loyal pup who gives you back all the attention you give her. She is very gentle with her surroundings and belongings. Unless it is a toy for her, she'll never ripped up a shoe, tear a pillow or even swallow a sock. She's an incredibly intelligent pup and has been in training since she was 5 months old. We have to find a new home for Harvie because she has let us know that she doesn't get along too well with small kiddos and isn't very fond of lots of new strangers. She isn't afraid to speak her mind and needs a calm environment with low social interaction to be successful at navigating this world. While she gets along well with most dogs, she does best with calmer, older dogs who can lead by example. She will not do well in a home with cats. Our sweet girl will need ongoing training to continue to be successful on her journey. She has been in the incredible hands of Freedom Dogs since March who have given her the tools she needs to learn how to be calm in this chaotic world. Together with their help, you will have opportunities to learn how to train Harvie to continue to keep her successful. She has so much to offer this world and will be such a great companion for a small family with no young kids and one who partakes in low social interactions. If you're looking for a forever dog, who you can dedicate time and energy into training, and who will give you the strongest love in return, you've found your match. We are so sad to see her go but we know that this is what is best for her and her life ahead.
