About Tyson

This silly, loving boy is Tyson! At one-year old, this big 70-pound kid located in Brockton, MA is still playful as a puppy! He has a lot of characteristics fitting of his Rhodesian Ridgeback background. He's energetic and athletic and enjoys playing fetch endlessly. An equally favorite activity of his is snuggling next to or on top of his human. He is house-trained and crate-trained, and is close to fully leash-trained. Tyson is super smart and has been learning his manners very well - he knows how to sit, wait, lie down, and give a paw. He's been working on 'heel' and 'leave it'. He very much wants to make his humans happy and is eager to learn just how to do that. Tyson will need an experienced, patient, and loving adopter to continue his training and maintain consistency in his life. A home with a large-fenced yard or access to regular physical activity would be best - no small children, cats, or small dogs. He may do well with a similarly sized, well-adjusted canine sibling. He can get overstimulated and anxious by unfamiliar people or things, especially on walks, and he is on a daily anxiety medication. Tyson also has some pretty serious seasonal allergies that affect his ears and will likely need yearly treatment to prevent inflammation.
