Meet CHLOE if interested please call or text Kat 516 457-3678 5 years young 40 lbs Philadelphia, PA Darling Chloe is a former stray from Manhattan, NYC. She came into the shelter fearful and reactive, and is now working on living her best life! Lost her home which Chloe has been able to work on her fear of strangers as well as her leash manners. She has been enjoying the Philadelphia lifestyle but is looking for a home that is a little calmer and outside of the city. Chloe is known to display aggression to strangers. Once she picks her *person*, Chloe will defend them from others entering the home, approaching her on walks, etc. Chloe needs to wear a muzzle when outside and meeting new people for this reason. Strict, structured, force-free, and reward-based training is of the utmost importance. Her adopter must be committed to lifelong training. Chloe must also be in a home without children. Her aggression can be triggered by sudden noises and movements. However, we are open to considering adopting Chloe to a home with a gentle, playful, and well-adjusted male dog. She has had excellent dog meets with large breed males. (Videos available) From foster: 'Chloe is my go-to cuddle buddy. I have severe panic disorder, and Chloe will jump on my lap and comfort me when I am having an attack. She also loves sleeping next to me like a 'person''. Chloe is house-trained and highly food motivated. She is able to complete a loose-leash walk in Philadelphia with proper guidance and control. She loves doing tricks, especially for peanut butter. Chloe has mild separation anxiety, but can be left alone in the crate for a few hours at a time. She is currently using trazodone and Prozac to help her anxiety, and the adopter must be committed to continuing her medication and working closely with a vet. She's nearly a perfect dog, and once she conquers her fear of strangers, she's going to be the happiest little pup on earth.' Chloe is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on shots.
