The shelter staff think I am about 3 years old, and I have been at the shelter since Jun 08, 2020. This supper happy puppy needs a home soon. He has been at the shelter much too long and may soon begin to show signs of kennel deterioration. This happens to all social animals eventually when they have been incarcerated for long periods of time. They need social interaction whether with other dogs or people. Here are some notes about Aidan from staff. 6/8/2020 OBSERVATION Super happy and friendly. walks great on leash. Allowed all handling. 6/8/2020 INTAKE ASSESSMENT Very friendly allowing all handling and vaccinations without issue. Walks very well on leash. 6/9/2020 EVALUATION Canine pulled hard on way to yard; nearing catch pen canine began growling. Alarm barking and would not settle. Placed canine in side yard. 7/1/2020 OBSERVATION: Easy pull; pulled to yard; explored; affiliative with handler; leaned into petting; barked at other dogs but was easily called away; pulled towards other dogs on return. 8/2/2020 ENRICHMENT Easily pulled from kennel. Once out pulled hard, and became barrier reactive with neighboring dogs. Once in yard settled but when another dog came into adjacent yard he became reactive again. Leashed him and walked around yard and he settled. Very responsive to handler, and knows sit. Very treat motivated. Pulled and was reactive on return to kennel but once in kennel sat for leash removal.
