CODE RED EMERGENCY- THESE PUPS WILL BE KILLED TODAY FOR SPACE!! NEED RESCUE/FOSTER/PLEDGES FOR 2 YOUNG CHOWS EUTH LISTED WHO NEED IMMED RESCUE TODAY from SALINAS KILL SHELTER- WHO CAN HELP? This past weekend, we found out these two young chows ( a 1 year old chow mix girl and a 2 year old purebred looking boy) came in together as strays, very shy and scared, but not aggressive, but made Rescue Only. Then, last night, I received a frantic text that the Monterey County Shelter in Salinas was going to euthanize them to make way for the new animals expected to come in due to the wildfires. We scrambled last night to figure out who could possibly rescue, foster, pick up, transport, board if needed, etc. We have a tentative plan in place but also need pledged donations since boarding seems to be the only option to get them somewhere safe for now, until we know more about them and or can find a suitable homes or fosters. The young girl has been having diarrhea and may need further medical, and both may need training and more socialization, as well as additional transport after they would go to boarding temporarily. Can you please lmk asap if you can offer a pledged donation for their rescue to a reputable 501c3 rescue for these two?
