About TESSA

TESSA(dob:10/06/2008) was rescued by Howlin4Spirit when both of her people passed away within 3 months of each other. They had bought her as a small puppy and we believe that she was mostly her daddy's 'little girl'. Though, she is awesome with wither sex, she just seems to follow men until her female person has anything tasty to hand out(she's a true beagle!). Healthy, very active for her age(she was well-cared for in her past) and enjoys walks in the woods, hanging with her early-retired or work-from-home person/people in the garden, as well as evenings on the couch or a soft dog bed. Crate-trained & housebroken, loves to go for rides, walks well on-leash and gets along well with other dogs. Unknown around cats but she's pretty mellow so should be good with dog-friendly cats. Would be OK around older, respectful children visiting the home. Does not try to escape nor dig, so a 3' BACKYARD fence would suit her just fine. ELECTRIC fencing is NOT SUITABLE for scent hounds! She has only known a large fenced-in yard and acreage, so she is seeking an devoted daily walker though nothing too strenuous, to help keep her girlish figure under control. Happy, healthy, friendly and cheerful. Definitely needs to be an integral part of her person's life. Tessa is in & will remain in foster care in Rutherfordton, NC until her fur-ever home is approved.
